July 19/18

Bifocals are a game changer for me when it comes to stitching. I noticed in November that the 28 count one over one ornament I did for the fella's sister was a nightmare for me to work on. I had to take off my glasses to be able to see the fabric. Then, it became more and more challenging to read the fineprint on medicine bottles which is kind of a problem when one's job is to double check details like drug identification numbers and the markings on tablets. So, a few weeks ago, I pulled up my old lady socks and made an appointment with the optometrist for my biannual exam. During that appointment, I mentioned that perhaps it was time to consider bifocals. The long and the short of that is that today is day 3 with my progressive lenses and I decided to try stitching tonight.

I CAN SEE TO STITCH!!!!!

There is not a great amount of progress, but it was easy on my eyes to stitch again.

To make up for my lack of stitching, here is a gratuitous cute puppy photo. She learned a new trick this evening......she can now jump over the plywood barricade that we use to keep the dogs on the deck. Ugh.
